Today, there are three-and-a-half-million Avon independent Sales Representatives worldwide who have benefited from the earnings opportunity Avon provides. The Avon Women of Enterprise Program has served as a catalyst for the full development and participation of women-owned businesses in the United States.

Through the Avon Women of Enterprise Program, Avon has built upon its 20-year old heritage of supporting and encouraging women's financial empowerment. Since 1987, the Avon Women of Enterprise Awards has honored top U.S. women business owners from diverse industries and backgrounds, for their entrepreneurial spirit and achievements. The Avon Women of Enterprise Awards was the first corporate-sponsored recognition program honoring women entrepreneurs. Among the business owners was always one Avon Representative who, in true partnership with Avon, had achieved the pinnacle of success.

In 2002, the Avon Women of Enterprise Program evolved to celebrate the success of just one special entrepreneur - the Avon Representative. This year, Avon chose three Representatives. This best serves to exemplify all areas of excellence that personify Avon's vision of being "the company for women," and embody the company's five values: trust, belief, humility, respect and integrity.
